Writing blog posts, <a href=\"https:\/\/masterblogging.com\/blog-post-research\/\" data-lasso-id=\"2730\">doing research<\/a>, promoting content \u2013 all these take at least&nbsp;<mark><strong>5 hours per week<\/strong><\/mark>, often more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a closer look at the typical blogging tasks and how much time they take:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Writing blog content&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On average, bloggers take around&nbsp;<strong>3 hours and 51 minutes&nbsp;<\/strong>to write a blog post. That\u2019s the <a href=\"https:\/\/masterblogging.com\/how-long-to-write-a-blog-post\/\" data-lasso-id=\"2731\">usual amount of time<\/a> needed to write&nbsp;<strong>1,427 words<\/strong>, which is the average <a href=\"https:\/\/masterblogging.com\/blog-post-length\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4048144\" data-lasso-id=\"2732\">blog post length<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can only commit the bare minimum of&nbsp;<strong>5 hours<\/strong>&nbsp;per week, you can publish&nbsp;<strong>4 posts a month<\/strong>. That\u2019s a grand total of&nbsp;<strong>48 blog posts per year<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Doing research&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Doing original research for case studies, surveys, and similar projects may take&nbsp;<strong>days<\/strong>, if not&nbsp;<strong>weeks<\/strong>, to finish. Other tasks like competitor analysis and <a href=\"https:\/\/masterblogging.com\/keyword-research\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4041781\" data-lasso-id=\"2733\">keyword research<\/a> may take anywhere from&nbsp;<strong>a few hours&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;<strong>around 10 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. But these are high-impact activities that will definitely help build your authority and online reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"results\">How Long Does It Take to See Results from Your Blog?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most bloggers and marketers will tell you that <mark>it takes&nbsp;<strong>6-12 months&nbsp;<\/strong>to get measurable results from a blog<\/mark>. But if you think about what they were making at first ($21.97), a net income of over&nbsp;<strong>$60,000&nbsp;<\/strong>is insane.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, Pinch of Yum makes most of its income from ads and sponsored content.
