To start with you will need to go back in and create pins for all your existing blog posts. There are two potential locations for you to include the image:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After the introduction, some bloggers like this as it puts it front and center of pretty much every reader and increases the likelihood of the image being saved to Pinterest. From where the button appears on the image, the size of the button, the shape, and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/m61vg7oDlmg2X66x5YnZsJTb_-x7XMIaoVq4XUdyf1jMuZ36kUMjI9FU6Dh9W0_rAJOzqsX1g4cARc5HDlIPo6xwe_qoaPvZKJGgmHDygrMnhlmo71XMO537DpW6NQw4kpog6-cB\" alt=\"settings for pinterest plugin\" class=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It comes with a cool preview feature so you can see exactly what it looks like on your blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019re happy with the settings, remember to press save and you\u2019re all set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3\">Optimize your pins for Pinterest SEO<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each pin has a title and description for you to tell the reader what your pin is about. Typically it will pull the title of your blog post for the title and the excerpt or the meta description of the post for each pin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/cmilBRtutb4CeU9YXW0InJINKsrOnL8Hn_Jxxy_UFEs5oqRALBTJ6FFkeZmoWeZXcrhc34mlT4TJg_3pHU3VsWIlZbsaVC9dexO-rmuIPaY-d1RZLAFPb6Y1BXzy1xFE2t2jHpQB\" alt=\"optimize your images for pinterest\" class=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is okay if you are really strapped for time &#8211; as it should include basic optimisation that you would have done for your blog post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But to see even better results, there is more you can do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To maximise the engagement for your pin you need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Include relevant keywords in both the title and the description &#8211; make sure you add them in a non-spammy manner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A longer, more helpful description &#8211; this makes it easier to include more keywords to increase the chances of being found in Pinterest search but also helps give more information for users to know what they are going to click through to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Include a call to action &#8211; add a \u2018check it out\u2019 or similar within the description to increase the number of click-throughs to your post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We found that using hashtags had no effect on the engagement levels or click-throughs on our pins so you do not need to worry about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4\">Frequency &amp; Consistency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is much debate about how often you should post on Pinterest.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some say you shouldn\u2019t post any more than once a day whilst others say you should post as much as you can.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what worked best for us after trying different schedules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Post at least 20 times per day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try and post roughly the same amount of pins each day (don\u2019t switch from 30 to zero and back again)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pin to a variety of boards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t just pin one blog post 20 times in a day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pinterest is the social platform you can post on the most without getting any negative response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Posting 20 times a day might sound like a lot but you can often schedule in bulk using tools, our recommendation is <a href=\"https:\/\/masterblogging.com\/go\/tailwind\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-lasso-id=\"2789\" target=\"_blank\" data-lasso-name=\"Tailwind\">Tailwind<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how we scheduled a week\u2019s worth of pins in under an hour using Tailwind\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First up, you need to collate your images into a single folder, this means you can bulk upload them all in just one go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/eo4YIFEWA1g8_OqcwFcjkjk42QbWvPIe8aIcTCGPNdshZnC6mdbcvvjM5q8_U7jZ7q5TMdpT1DohWPVImDyN3suVhGI_3U1Hx9oOJKHgLuNb7pzgQX80EexiR4-DcIXmIJw3FAxB\" alt=\"blogger images to pin\" class=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now head over to Tailwind and click \u2018<strong>Create new pin<\/strong>\u2019 and \u2018<strong>Upload Images<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: The interface of Tailwind can be a bit daunting when you first get in there, but you will get used to the areas you use the most.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/Adzytdr_tQ-cnC5TVqqgdQFT3wDbBdpb3UOpEfmBQxlD2nDi4oJ0Ar0JIJ_H13L9D2UgcBOaHnXAkRDjM3Gi6ii3qvppip23iITviZN4f4MBQ_Oo9q30LZ20N2g_xdZCKd7jk1hs\" alt=\"tailwind for bloggers pinterest\" class=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It will take a little time for all of the images to be uploaded but once they are, it\u2019s time to set the titles, descriptions, links and relevant board to save the images to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/yJ30QYyEYSJae88iXdM-mbAdbuEoqgDrXG6kHNhhOCOFYcYy4Pkyfk3nmZtVO--Iteq0cpTywHoF19tKIbwiwl164H_xqYYnOpR7YBb5otaGV_swqk1GlxQiZJR8XQcGjtxCZjXr\" alt=\"tailwind pinterest for bloggers\" class=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you remember to edit the link to each pin &#8211; it defaults to your homepage which isn\u2019t ideal for engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve completed each pin, click the \u2018Schedule all drafts\u2019 button and you\u2019re set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"5\">Work with Pinterest influencers (for free)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pinterest influencer marketing isn\u2019t what most people think of when they talk about influencer marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if you can work with popular Pinterest accounts then you can piggyback off of their audiences to drive traction on Pinterest for your blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We managed to do this completely for free. Here\u2019s how\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head over to PinGroupie and take a look at their influencers section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter a broad keyword for your industry, for example \u2018interior design\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/dIX4daVOez0Q-itTqZTTRMunfWde3UpSe8DEe7PxHuJQ8HMk2oXw6VA0swxdZ7meaExQihebsQmfRBAnNgjLeGWcrKRbKY-5hUu4Mk_G4Ye1CfZcX-zm3VhcBt7yT20mf4lX6PGP\" alt=\"find popular pinterest bloggers\" class=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll then see the most popular accounts by monthly viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll also see the website associated with their account, go to these and find the contact details for these influencers. Note: Some will be businesses, just ignore these ones as they will be less likely to share your content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next up, plan a blog post that needs to be image heavy.
