Because even if a certain topic generates thousands of search traffic, its profitability is still not guaranteed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, a lot of bloggers reap the rewards of their hard work through <a href=\"https:\/\/masterblogging.com\/affiliate-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-lasso-id=\"667\">affiliate marketing<\/a>. This requires them to search for <a href=\"https:\/\/masterblogging.com\/find-affiliate-products\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-lasso-id=\"668\">affiliate products<\/a> aligned with their content and their audience\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you plan to delve into a micro niche around a specific product, this shouldn\u2019t be a problem for you. Otherwise, try to look for topics in which you can think of potential affiliate products or services to sell.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A good way to gauge the profitability of a niche is to look at the keyword\u2019s average CPC. Affiliate marketing, in particular, is a very lucrative venture that\u2019s hard to miss out on.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"questions\">Questions You Should Ask Before Committing to a Niche<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a future blogger, choosing a niche is a pretty big commitment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The wrong blog niche will cost you months and hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Yeah \u2014 it\u2019s a decision that you should never rush into.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before I end this post, I have a series of questions for you. These will let you determine once and for all if you chose the right niche.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"happy\">Question 1: Are you happy with it?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to learn something cool?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Japanese culture, they have a principle called \u201c<strong>ikigai,<\/strong>\u201d which essentially means \u201ca reason for being alive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I know \u2014 it sounds deep and serious, but so is blogging.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ikigai is the convergence of four \u201cwhats\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>What you love \u2014&nbsp;<\/strong>Make no mistake that blogging is a lot of work. But if you love the topics you write about, you won\u2019t feel as fatigued.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What you\u2019re good at \u2014<\/strong> To make your blog stand out, you need great content. And to make great content, you must be good at the topics you write about \u2014 plain and simple.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What the world needs \u2014<\/strong> It\u2019s understandable to lean towards a niche you love. The question is, will your blog solve an actual problem that people have?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What you can be paid for \u2014<\/strong> Lastly, are the services or products you can offer the world something people will gladly pay for? You\u2019ll never find success if you don\u2019t plan to give your best to every piece you publish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your niche is also your ikigai, it\u2019ll be considerably easier to be consistent without getting burnt out.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"buzz\">Question 2: Is there enough online buzz in your market?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s no secret that online marketing works best with an online-savvy audience.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>How do you plan to engage your target audience if they don\u2019t go online that much?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If they do, are you sure they\u2019re passionate enough to consider purchasing from a blog they\u2019ve never heard of before?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, there are a few things you need to look for before diving into a niche.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>First up would be the presence of online communities.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You know a market is passionate about a niche if there are forums dedicated to related products and topics. Social media groups are also good signs, but only if at least one of them has thousands of members.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Freelancing for stay-at-home moms, for example, has a handful of online communities built around it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A quick Google search should confirm this.
